Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CarpoolConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

CarpoolConnect provides a web-based platform for coordinating carpools among families. Our service allows you to create carpool schedules, invite other families, and keep everyone synchronized with real-time updates.

User Accounts

To use certain features of our service, you must create an account by providing your email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring the accuracy of information you provide
• Notifying us of any unauthorized use

Acceptable Use

You agree to use CarpoolConnect only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Share false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use the service to spam or harass others

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to CarpoolConnect (such as carpool names, family names, and schedules). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing our service to you and the families you invite.

Carpool Coordination

CarpoolConnect is a coordination tool only. We do not verify the identity of users, perform background checks, or guarantee the safety of any carpool arrangement. You are solely responsible for verifying the trustworthiness of families you carpool with and ensuring the safety of all participants.

Free and Paid Services

CarpoolConnect offers both free and paid tiers of service:

Free Features: All users may view carpool schedules, accept invitations to join existing carpools, and access their assigned driving schedules at no cost.

Season Pass Features: Creating and editing carpools, inviting other families, modifying schedules, and calendar synchronization require a Season Pass or Year Pass.

We reserve the right to modify which features are included in free versus paid tiers at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that reduce functionality available to existing pass holders during their paid access period.

Free Trial

New users receive a complimentary trial period providing access to premium features. The current trial duration is 28 days from account creation. No payment information is required to begin a trial.

Trial periods are limited to one per user. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional trial periods is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial program, change the trial duration, or limit trial availability at any time without prior notice.

Pricing and Payment

Paid access is available through one-time purchase options:

• Season Pass: $9.99 USD for 4 months of premium access
• Annual Pass: $19.99 USD for 12 months of premium access

These are one-time payments. There is no automatic renewal or recurring billing. When your access period expires, you will need to make a new purchase to continue using premium features. You may purchase additional access at any time; if purchased before your current period expires, the new time will be added to your existing expiration date.

All prices are in United States Dollars (USD). We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect existing purchased access periods but will apply to future purchases.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers.

Refund Policy

Due to the immediate delivery of digital services, all sales are final. We generally do not offer refunds for premium access purchases.

Exceptions: We may, at our sole discretion, consider refund requests in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate charges due to technical errors
• Service substantially unavailable for an extended period during your access term
• As required by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@carpoolconnect.app. Include your account email and the approximate date of purchase.

If a refund is granted, premium access will be revoked immediately upon processing the refund. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent or that violate these Terms.

Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at support@carpoolconnect.app before initiating a dispute with your bank or credit card company. We will work with you to resolve any billing issues promptly.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account and revoke premium access pending resolution. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with or without notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarpoolConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to damages related to carpool arrangements, transportation, or scheduling errors.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CarpoolConnect and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
